How To Keep Marriages Safe

Hi Alex.

We wish we had a little information about you. It would be interesting for me to know if you are a Christian, if you live in the Miami/Dania area or if not from where are you reading the blog from, if you are in the US or abroad etc., just simply because you the first reader who emails us since we created this Blog. I hope you will send us your comment so we can post it. I presume that you are a married man and I think you have a position regarding the failure of marriages not just a question.

Your question is that is if I “think only religion can make a good father good husband and keep marriages safe?”

I believe, Alex you are referring to when I said in the August 25 posting: You must be a man of prayer in order to be “the” minister of your family. I don’t know if you realized that I didn’t talk about religious men but men of God or God fearing, God loving men, because what matters in a relationship specially is the presence of God. There are thing that are taught best by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the best source of wisdom. “All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16,17

Ordinary man, meaning the man who is living in the flesh is fragile and extremely vulnerable. The Scriptures keep giving us clear warning of our debilities and how to prevent the falls that certainly will happen. “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” 1 Corinthians 10:10-11. Which means it would be foolish for someone to think that bad things happen to bad people and believe that they won’t happen to him. On the contrary Christians learn to pray for those who fall and pray to have the strength to walk through the challenges. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it] 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Men are responsible to make their marriage work as the loving husband and the caring father he is supposed to be. I know that the word of God provide the tools for those tasks.

Thank you my friend, You just gave me a title for this week postings "How To Keep Marriages Alive". God bless you and keep you.

Spiritual Maturity

The bible teach us that man was created to lead but we know that leadership depend on defined criteria expressed in l Timothy Chapter 3 and Titus chapter 2 around and upon which every man build his life whether to govern his home or lead in the church. Among those we find Godliness, justice, self-control, moderation, commitment to the word of God, faithfulness etc.
Spiritual maturity, when it comes to describing a man’s devotion to God and to his divine mission, is man’s first credential. It is not function of someone’s chronological age nor on his fleshly ability to do things, but it derive from a submissive to God principle and man’s intimacy with the Holy Spirit. A young man can be spiritually mature, following the steps of Jesus Christ, he becomes a loving and faithful husband, a dedicated and caring father, having passion for God’s work. Such man will carry good testimony and will go through the years blameless simply because his moral character will not rise any doubt or objection among people surrounding him. He maybe not perfect because only Jesus was perfect, but he will be a man according God design.

Are you a man in your house?

Man, you are privileged to have a so wonderful role you are called to play: the “provider”, right after God. You cannot give what you don’t have so your relationship with God is indispensable. Remember that the verb minister signifies to supply the need of someone. You must be a man of prayer in order to be “the” minister of your family. The first and foremost of the needs to be attended are the spiritual ones of the household; as this old saying “those who pray together stay together”. That comes before being the Breadwinner that also you are compelled to and the Instructor honored to be. God did it that way. What happen with the original divine design, the plan of God for men?
But why is it that our society is becoming so feminized? Why is it that the man presence in many houses seems to make no difference? What heritage will be left for our young men after our generation has gone?

Paul wrote to Titus in the chapter 2, verses 2 and 6 “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. Meaning men should accomplished. A man should be loved and be needed by his wife and his kids in such a way that he feels home when he is back from work and everybody feel more in security. As a grandfather you should be a subject of blessing for your grandkids, as a matter of fact as a sanctified man you will speak blessing upon your descendants. If you are not in similar position you must know that is well possible for you to be, but before you should completely submit yourself to God. Regain control by learning, living and teaching the word of God. May God bless you and sanctify you.

We welcome your comments, join us.

Being a Man

When God created man, He gave him dominion over the entire creation that includes man it self, The rest of the story you know it but let’s put it this way: there first was a doubtful thought introduced by Satan which was the starting of the domino effect of the original sin and as a matter of fact of all sin. Whenever men divert from the control of God you will loose control over your thoughts because only God gives wisdom. When you see you are having problem solving the problems you face, Ask God to give you discernment, to open the eyes of your heart. Paul advises us to be sober in order to lead our family and to guide our Christian peers.
Lucado could not be more right when he wrote:
Take Every Thought Captive
Today's thoughts are tomorrow's actions.
Today's jealousy is tomorrow's temper tantrum.
Today's bigotry is tomorrow's hate crime.
Today's anger is tomorrow's abuse.
Today's lust is tomorrow's adultery.
Today's greed is tomorrow's embezzlement.
Today's guilt is tomorrow's fear.
Could that be why Paul writes, "Love ... keeps no record of wrongs" (1 Cor. 13:5 NIV)?

People often say "Your are the man" to tell you that you have done or can do good thing. So there id no doubt about that "Being a Man" means to do things wright, do Godly thing.
Trust and obey God.

Chosen Men, Men of God

Now in days, as society departed from the word of God, the notion of manhood is at such a point altered that being a male and being a man seems to have the same nuances and rapprochements. Some observers believe that the decline in in quality of life, the fading of traditional values and a state of instability, all derive from it. The bible pictures the moral nature, strength and weakness, and the responsibility of men.

The men's group at New Bethany Baptist Mission is now engaging in impacting positively the life of both single and married young Christian men leading by example.
