How To Keep Marriages Safe

Hi Alex.

We wish we had a little information about you. It would be interesting for me to know if you are a Christian, if you live in the Miami/Dania area or if not from where are you reading the blog from, if you are in the US or abroad etc., just simply because you the first reader who emails us since we created this Blog. I hope you will send us your comment so we can post it. I presume that you are a married man and I think you have a position regarding the failure of marriages not just a question.

Your question is that is if I “think only religion can make a good father good husband and keep marriages safe?”

I believe, Alex you are referring to when I said in the August 25 posting: You must be a man of prayer in order to be “the” minister of your family. I don’t know if you realized that I didn’t talk about religious men but men of God or God fearing, God loving men, because what matters in a relationship specially is the presence of God. There are thing that are taught best by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the best source of wisdom. “All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16,17

Ordinary man, meaning the man who is living in the flesh is fragile and extremely vulnerable. The Scriptures keep giving us clear warning of our debilities and how to prevent the falls that certainly will happen. “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” 1 Corinthians 10:10-11. Which means it would be foolish for someone to think that bad things happen to bad people and believe that they won’t happen to him. On the contrary Christians learn to pray for those who fall and pray to have the strength to walk through the challenges. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it] 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Men are responsible to make their marriage work as the loving husband and the caring father he is supposed to be. I know that the word of God provide the tools for those tasks.

Thank you my friend, You just gave me a title for this week postings "How To Keep Marriages Alive". God bless you and keep you.
